An accountant turned gardener. She found out she inherited her great-aunt Mary’s estate, including her house and gardens. Lily doesn’t like conflict, and she worries a lot. However, she can be very determined when she needs to be.
Lily’s neighbour. A metalworker and mechanic who fancies himself an artist. His property is a mess and so is his hair. He has a dog named Roxy. Has a habit of playing banjo outside late at night, much to Lily’s chagrin.
Lawyer to Lily’s great-aunt Mary. Awfully spry for his age. In charge of managing Mary’s estate and generally keeping Lily on her toes. Definitely knows more than he’s letting on.
A carpenter and contractor who assists Lily with the estate. Regina is never afraid to say what she’s thinking, which endears her to the more reserved Lily. Just don’t get on her bad side: she’s a master of sarcasm and power tools.
Lily’s mother. She’s all about the 3 G’s: glitz, glamor, and gold. Overly confident, quick witted, and unlike Lily, loves a good confrontation. She is a queen (a drama queen, at least) and expects to be treated as such.
A researcher of Lily’s family, who soon becomes a dear friend. An all-around nerd, constantly curious, Whitney is ever-eager to solve any and every mystery, which is useful in a garden where new questions lurk around every corner.
Luke’s ten-year old daughter. A bit of a tomboy, a bit of an angsty tween, and a bit of a dingus, just like her father. She may say everything is boring, but this inquisitive kid is always happy to help out around the garden.
Lily’s ex-boyfriend, a slimy businessman type. Cheated on Lily with his secretary, which we can all agree is very cliché. CORRECTION: Blaine has notified us that it was actually his personal assistant, not his secretary. We regret the error.
